Is anyone mixing sides. I can't seem to make my seating chart right, expecially since some people are requesting were to sit. I have been thinking about mixing side, but I hated it when I was in that situation and barely new anyone and on the otherside I new everyone. What is everyone doing?

Having one table my family and the next his but on the same side and maybe mixing some some for my friends with his friends only becasue I don;t want the room to look uneven. What do you think?

Well then one side will have 12 tables and the other will have only 4

Re: Seating chart
FH's family and his moms friends fill one whole side of the room, so FH's friends will be on my side of the room, but the friends all get along, so I think it'll be better that way. I did the wrap around effect. Put family, FMIL friends and it just happened the friends wrapped onto the bottom of my side. Try something like that. Has your BM offered to work on it with you. My BM said to bring a wish list, that with all the different size tables, they only look right a couple of different ways. Ask the hall. As for people asking where to sit, if it wasn't already your plan or one of the parents asking F'em, you can't/won't make every single person happy, so just work on making it easy for you!

Re: Seating chart
I'm TOTALLY mixing sides!
My immediate family & his will make one big table (of 12). They are half and half....and although my parents complained: This is the time that they are BECOMING family!

I agree with you on this..I'm not mixing sides either. It's your day, you sit them wherever you like. I mean most of the time, they will be walking around, dancing and just enjoying themselve..the most they will sit is when they eat...like for half hour or so...JMO

Re: Seating chart
I have it worked down to a science. I am not going to mix sides because I want everyone to feel comfortable and have someone they can relate and talk to. I even have my own drama table for those who you know are going to have problems no matter what.
So far those whom I have told are all happy about where they are sitting.

Re: Seating chart
my hall doesn't have 'sides' - the dance floor is on one side, all the tables on another - thats what I liked about it!
I wouldnt worry about mixing - their a$$es arent stuck to the chair, they just have to sit to eat -

i wouldn't worry about it. we have a total of 20 tables and 4 are my family and friends the rest are his fam and friends. so obviously some of his tables are on my side. IMO it doesn't matter. don't stress date twin, we're almost there!!
