Seating Chart Aneurysm

Seating Chart Aneurysm

So, the RSVPs are starting to roll in. Very exciting. :)

I'm flying out to Arizona to visit FMIL tomorrow (FH is already out there), and he's warning me already that we're going to be grilled about the seating chart that we haven't even started yet.

In my experience at weddings, the seating arrangements that work well are ones where generally the same generation sits together. E.g. parents sit with their brothers/sisters/close family , bridal party sits together (and with other friends, etc.).

FH and I have our own table. FMIL wants to sit with FH's sister (and her boyfriend) and brother, her children. To me, this seemed odd. Plus, if this were to happen, who would fill the rest of the table (tables of 12)? FMIL does not want to sit with her siblings (or FFIL's siblings), so I would think I would put FMIL's friends there, but then it would be odd for FH's brother and sister to be the only young ones at the table. My head's going to explode already! Thoughts?

Who were you thinking of seating with FSIL originally? Can they still sit together and just add FMIL with them. Also, you can have FMIL and FFILs siblings are a near by table just incase.

FSIL and FBIL are in the bridal party, so I was going to put them at a table with others in the bridal party. To me, this makes much more sense than putting them with their parents.

hmmm... I'd say stick some of your in-law's friends there to fill the table.. anyone that is friendly with them as well as your FH's siblings
