What would you do if someone didn't want to sit with someone else? But...if you separated them, it would screw everything up. One of Sean's (FI) friends is causing unnecessary drama about sitting with a couple because he doesn't like his friend's girlfriend. We can't sit this couple somewhere else because it would be mean! If we do sit them together, I'm afraid Sean's friend will cause problems.

I think his friend needs to get over it, I would not change the seating for him, what is he 10?

Re: Seating drama...
If he's complaining, then just put him at some random table with all the 80 year olds in your family. Forget that, if he can't deal with sitting with the friend and his girlfriend, then either tell him to DEAL with it and sit there or just randomly throw him in where there is space.

Re: Seating drama...
I have a similar situation but I can't separate the couples because it would be mean and be really obvious that this person does not like that person. But they have decided to be grown up about it. Besides, how long do people sit at the tables for anyway? Everyone gets up and mingles and dances. Tell them to be adults and deal with it.
