My mom keeps trying to get me to preliminarily do this...she has whole discussions with me over and over about who will sit where. It makes me want to pull my hair out...we haven't even hit our RSVP date yet!!!

yea tell me about it!!! i was stuck for days just trying to figure out how to avoid adding an extra ppl for just like 5 ppl....
jus remember no matter what you do you can't please everyone. someone will always find something to complain about. just do your best!

Mine was so simple, I can't understand. We did have the longer 10-12 people tables so maybe it's different.
We invited both my DH's parents and my father over. What I thought was going to take hours took us 30 minutes, if that!
BTW, our seating was so good people were competing thinking they had the best table at the wedding!

I am doing this now...here is a question.
They change the room around at my venue and I was not able to see it. If I am looking at the love dais table, is the bride on the right or left? I am thinking on the right if I am looking at them but I do not know. Does it matter???

I had the HARDEST time with seating, but what I ended up doing (at work one day, lol) was figured out each person per table. I did all of the tables I KNEW first (i.e. family, bridal party, couples, etc) then I did the others that would be mixed tabes, and then i assigned the table #s.. I have mixed 8's & 10's because I couldn't get it to work any other way, I think I even have 2 table's of 9, lol. BUT, it's the only way it'll work for us :)

want hard for me at all was one of the easiest things ever. granted I was doing it for like 2-3 months - I liked seating and unseating ppl and the RSVP's kept coming in LOL
what I did was to put family X together then add to that if there is a hall of someone else from the same family or their close friend, made a table of just cousins who are all 18-23, made a friends table, co-workers, extended family, etc. then as I said I kept adding in ppl to tables that didnt have enough ppl thinking 'who would they seat best with?'
