I always thought that the bride and groom sat with their wedding party in one table with bride and room in the middle. But then someone said to me that the bride and groom sit with their families combind and the bridal party sits together with their dates.
We both don't want to sit with our families! Sorry but they all drive us nuts! Is is just possible we could find a way to just sit with the bridal party, the people choose to be there, not the ones we were forced to invite?

Where we are getting married FH (DH) and I sit alone. The bridal party will sit with their family, etc.

Same for us. We have out own table. The bridesmaids table is on one side of us and the groomsmen table is on the other side of the us.

We are having our own table also. The BP is sitting with their dates. You can probably ask for a dias (sorry if I spelt it wrong) so they can sit up front with you.

You can do anything you want...
Some people like to sit alone-- we chose to sit with members of our wedding party and their dates..
We just sat people wherever we wanted.. No dias, special tables, etc... Just sat the people closest to us with us..
And I personally do not like dias'-- people in your wedding party then cannot sit with their dates/spouses, etc.

Okay thank you. I would have allowed them to sit with their guest anyway. I just don't want to sit alone or with the families. the families aren't allow near eachother. It will be world war three if they do.

My sister had a dias and let everyone sit with their dates. You can do whatever you want.

My cousin did this, she had a dais with the BP and we all sat with our dates next to us. Mine would be more difficult because half the people in my BP have families, not just a date, so we're just having a sweetheart table for the two of us.
You have a few options.
1. Just a sweetheart table for the 2 of you, your BP can sit at their tables with their dates.
2. A dais for you, FH and the BP.
3. A dais for you, FH, the BP and their dates
4. No sweetheart table or dais, you and FH sit at the tables with everyone else.
There's no hard and fast rule, it's whatever you're comfortable with!!!
