i love my dress so much. i feel like it should stay on me as long as possible because it's the only time i'll get to wear it!!!!!!!

I have a heavy dress too and I did get a 2nd dress for the reception. I want to wear my 1st dress as long as possible because I love it, but the 2nd one will be easier to dance in.
I have pics in my album

Re: second dress?

My dress has a train which I think might restrict dancing a bit, so I am considering a little white cocktail dress for dancing!

That sounds like a great idea! Although with my budget, I don't think that would be possible

I think its a great idea...if the budget allows for it, and you dont mind taking off the 1st dress

i love the idea of being comfortable enough to dance like nobodys watching... the dress that i bought when i was still getting married happens to be very light (its organza) so i wouldnt have that problem, but if you have a dress that you absolutely love, and its kinda constricting, it might be a good idea to change into something else.

I think it's a great idea! I have heard of many people doing this. . . in fact I am having de ja vu on this post.

Why not?!?!!? As long as your comfortable enough to have the time of your life!

Re: second dress?

I'm not getting a second dress only because I know I wont have the time. But try to see how the bustle will work on your dress. If you feel that you will have the time to change go for it! You want to make sure you don't spend money on a dress that you don't wear.
