Re: second dress at the reception
According to David Tuttera it's becoming the new 'thing' to do, to change into a more fun dress for the actual reception.
If you think you'll be more comfortable dancing out of that poofy dress and can afford it then i'd do it.

Re: second dress at the reception
I want to look like a princess and feel very bridal all night long lol so no, I will not be changing out of my dress. I might even keep my veil on during the recpetion hahahahaha
If I did decide to change my dress, and had the extra cash- I would totally buy the dress Yelley wore for TWOTY... gorgeous dress!!!

Re: second dress at the reception
I didn't do this, I loved my dress too much to change out of it.
My friend was going to do this -- she bought a very puffy ceremony dress and bought a second dress for dancing, and then she changed her mind and returned the second dress (was off-the-rack from a department store). She decided too that she wanted to feel 'bridal' all night.

I don't know. . i get the idea of a 2nd dress but at the same time think if I did it i would only be in my dress for about an hour. . and want to take advantage of all that dough I spent!!
In the end it's up to you. . your party. . how much you love your first dress and how much money you have to spend on another!!

Re: second dress at the reception
I love the idea of changing into a second dress, but unfortunatly its not in my budget. So instead, I'm totally changing my hair style. Up for the Ceremony, down and more casual for the Reception. My BM is a hairdresser, so she'll be changing my do.

Re: second dress at the reception
I'm spending so much on a dress (that I LOVE!!!) that I want to wear it for every second possible. I couldn't imagine spending even more and wearing the dresses for less time.

Re: second dress at the reception
I bought two wedding gowns. My plan was to wear a more formal gown at the reception but having two wedding gowns, I didn't want any regrets from choosing one over the other. It's your wedding you can wear two dresses...my mom and MIL, and sister in law wore two different dresses as well.

Re: second dress at the reception
It's a cool idea! And if I had the funds I'd definately entertain the idea a little longer. But I feel like.. I'm spending so much money on this one dress that I can't really wear again... so I want to keep that sucker on as long as I possibly can! FH will have to really rip me out of it that night... because I'm soooo not going to want to take it off. I might even show up to breakfast in it!
