If my dress fits and everything is fine, I don't take it home tomorrow, right?
It's a little less than 3 weeks until my wedding - I don't want to store it that long.
I will leave it there and go back the week before, right? I hope? I'm assuming they'll have to steam it, etc., right, after doing and undoing the bustle for me? And steam my veils, too?
I just don't want them to make me take it home tomorrow... I don't want it hanging around the house for 3 weeks...
FWIW, I'm getting my dress from Lillette's.

(And let's not mention that I'm terrified b/c I'm convinced I gained weight and the dress won't fit!)

I am not sure but I thought you had one more fitting to make sure the week before and then take it him that week. I am not 100%sure though.

But you've been under so much stress and pressure with everything going on in your life lately, that I'd be willing to bet that you didn't gain weight!

Kara, i got my dress from Lillette's too... I didnt' pick it up until the day before my wedding....
Actually it was 4:30 PM the day before my wedding and my BM was like where's your dress? and i was like 'OMG... we have to pick it up! they close at 5!!!' I thought i had everything covered...
but seroiusly, they'll hold it for you... it was nice to not have to worry about it... they steamed it for me and poofed it out and all that.... i say the longer you can keep it there, the better.

I am pretty sure you wouldn't take it home today because they will have to steam all the wrinkles out before you do!

If they tell you it is ready to go tell them you have no place to put it. Just make sure you pay the alterations if you haven't already that will make it 'easier' to store it I am sure. If you have no place to put it then they can't make you take it. Just schedule an appt for a pick up the week of the wedding.
