Re: second guessing?

Sorry ladies..I am teacher and it is so hard to get on for long periods of time besides lunch and I had class tonight..so here I am back again!

My FMIL didn't love the place and the comments she made put doubt in my mind..like it is not 'elegant enough'. I have thought similar, like maybe I should go for the full out 'black tie' event and I don't get that feel from my venue. I went back on Saturday with my MOH (we were in the area) and I loved seeing it at night, all bright up. Yet, still the next day I was anxious again over it and the feel/impression.

That started it all then I read worries from others on here about the edition to the venue and them not being nice and giving concrete answers.

I actually made FH go see another venue on Sunday..just to see how I would feel and I really did like it and its elegance, but there is a price to pay for that, much extra than ours, which is not out of the question, I just wonder if necessary.

I am so confused.

Re: second guessing?

I have second guessed a few things during this process. You are not alone. You have to forget about what others say and not let them influence you. This is YOUR day and no one else's. I know it is easier said than done but try.

If you are referring to the Fox Hollow I have only heard good things about the place. Just think of the foliage you have there and how beautiful your pics will be.

Everyone will have their opinion whether it be good bad or indifferent. Do what makes you and fh happy!

Thank you Nikki!

Yes, It is Fox Hollow. I don't know what I think anymore. I am going to sleep on it and come up with a plan in the morning as to what will make me happy.

I'm at the point where I feel like there is something wrong with me cause I can't make decisions. I have to get reassurance from everyone I know. Then I still second guess it!

I'm not second guessing anything, def not the venue. I love my venue... looking back if i picked any other RH i'd probably second guess it b/c i love the WM.

As far as other vendors... i dont think so, i'm the type were i plan and think everything through before i decide.... sometimes i drive people nuts but oh well, lol If i do second guess my mom or MOH just tell me to shut up and go with 'x' LOL

Crashing from 2012 boards but I just had to say that my FH's brothers wedding was at Fox Hollow 5 years ago and people still talk about how great it was! I don't remember much in terms of CH but the dinner and Viennese was great! You will have a great wedding no matter where you choose because it will be your wedding!

Re: second guessing?

If there was an award for this i would win it!! Hands down!!

You just have to focus on the reasons you booked things and just go with it.. I think its natural to second guess yourself.. If you are marrying your best friend you should not worry about anything.. bc any venue will be beautiful bc that is the place you will celebrate your love for one another!!

Hope that helps!! Another word of advice although reviews are great- if you look at other halls and pics it makes you think twice but if you look at pics of your hall and go to visit it every so often to reassure yourself!!!

Re: second guessing?

My only advice is to go with your gut instinct. If that's telling you your hall is great, stick with it. If your gut is telling you that it's not what you want, look someplace else.

YEs, I second guess everything. Its my fh's biggest pet peeve about me.

Re: second guessing?

If I go with my gut..it says Fox Hollow is not my place :(.

I will have more time to chat with FH tonight, although we live together, we both had class till late.

Re: second guessing?

I'm a Fox Hollow bride too and I don't know which room you have, but I have the Garden Terrace and I have second guessed myself a million times because the cocktail hour and dancing for 200 people? Oh my gosh.. I can't imagine it at all! I have felt to anxious about it... but then I went over there to just pay my bill in person and I remembered why I fell in love with the place... it just has that romantic old english feel and it just feels like a place you can go back to for years to come... Go back and you'll fall in love all over again.

P.S: I think my FMIL HATES it. But... who cares? I couldn't picture my ceremong any other place in the world.

I am on that boat. I have 2nd guessed the venue, the time of day and the date. The more people I talk to the crazier I get. I can't even decide on colors!
