So we are booked at flowerfield, put a deposit down...and now that we are further along with our plans, we are having second thoughts about our venue. I think we just didn't realize how much vendors would cost...we may need a RH with a smaller guarantee or lower cost per head. We have a while until our date...hoping flowerfield will consider giving our deposit back.... Arrggh...

Yeah..six months before they have to give you everything except 100 dollars in Suffolk County.

If you love the place but are concered about money call and discuss with them. Share your concerns and I'm sure they'll help you. Like the other girls said if you change you mind they have to give you the money back.

Sorry your second guessing, maybe take some time and find vendors that could work with you if you really love the place...or as others suggested call the RH and see what they can do for you.
it's SO pretty there.... try to make it work!
After we put a deposit down, we started really crunching the numbers and went to get out of our contract (it was within the week we booked). When we called to tell them, they bent over backwards to keep us and dropped our minimum by 25 people and cut the price. Before you do anything, see if they will work with you.
