Second-hand Mini Villa Lombardi's Review
Alright my fellow VL girls, I finally got a hold of my friend/BM who ended up having a wedding at VL the same exact day as mine this year, and here's what she had to say:
*Disclaimer...this is what she said ver batem, so it is what it is***
She said cocktail hour was amazing, that it was beautiful, and the food was awesome. She wished she could eat the CH food all night lol.
Decor-wise, she said it was really pretty and lots of great places to take pics during the Christmas season with everything all set up.
Now....dinner. I won't say her exact words because it will get blocked, but needless to say, she said it was not good. She had the filet mignon with mushrooms, someone else at the table had the chicken, and someone else had the salmon, and nobody liked the dinner. She was afraid to tell me, and debated if she should because she didn't want to get me nervous. They were all really shocked because the food is always so good, and that they've all been to other functions and the food wasn't like that. She also said that the drinks were flowing way before dinner, so that lessened the blow a little.
They also had a Viennese, which she said was out of control. Ice cream bar, zeppoles, cakes, pastries, even sparklers set up! Wish they had the cheesecake bar too, I've yet to actually see it or get feedback on it, and that's the part I'm most looking forward to!
So overall it was good...just she said dinner wasn't that great. I'm a little nervous, but I'm going to chalk it up to a fluke and bury my head in the sand, because the food at the last showcase was awesome as was the mini-Greek food tasting we had, and my personal experience there was never that. So let's just keep our fingers crossed girls!
