I'm thinking of getting a second job to help out with the costs of the wedding. My salary at my full-time job is pretty good and I'm not looking to compromise my current position but its just that we could use the little extra to ease the financial stress of planning the wedding. I'm looking for something on Saturdays which I'm expecting to be a little difficult because I'm only interested in something for this one day. Do you girls have any suggestions? Thanks for the help

Re: Second Job?
My fi and I are paying for our own wedding. Were both teachers and we have second jobs. He bartends at a restaurant, I tutor and teacher after school classes. I used to bartend but took a break b/c it was getting too much. i might go back..

Re: Second Job?
maybe you can work at a clothing store or a store in a mall? it's close to holiday season so they probably may need extra help (ie: macy's and so forth). plus..employee discount? bartending also good. or waitressing?

Re: Second Job?
I work for a Market Research company on LI as an Admin. Asst. to the President of one of our business units and I also do analytical work (i.e., pull data, track and report happenings in our industry (housewares, appliances, personal care products, etc.). I'm trying to find a Saturday clerical/reception position although I am open to other opportunities...except for ones that are closely related to what I do now because of confidentiality issues...can't work for a competitor. I'm blanking out on ideas for some reason as to what to do. Anyone know of employers that would look for people to work on Saturdays? Thanks again.

Re: Second Job?
I would check out something in your local mall.. It could be dangerous having an EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT, but the holidays are coming up.... Some companies have multiple stores too for discounts (ie Old Navy & the Gap are the same company, and Bath and Body works & White Barn Candle CO.) I would go for something like B&B or WBCC because you wouldnt be tempted as much to USE the discount!

Re: Second Job?
I waitress as my second job, I know that the resturant I work in is desperate for people and I could probably get you in, also waitressing is the best because it is cash tips and on Saturday day and night I know most girls in my resturant make about $200-250 a night. The money is great and I work on the weekends occasionaly, but mostly nights during the week. FM me if you want some info.
