honestly , why don't you tutor
I have tried that so often... but no one seems to want a tutor from my field. And sometimes you need a break from teaching.
Did you submit your application for summer school? They always need teachers for the summer. You can apply for any district and high schools work 5 days as oppose to elementary's 4 days. And, HS work more weeks till about the 17th of Aug.
Work somewhere off the books where you will get lots of tips...I know that doesn't sound right, but what I mean is like in a hair salon...or restaurant...it's good extra money.
I am a teacher as well. I am actually a new teacher at a leave replacement position and I applied for summer school there but did not hear anything yet. I have an interview today at Huntington Learning Center but I am not sure how great the pay is. I also have another part-time job where I will stay over the summer. Wish me luck! I will let you know how this goes. I also thought about waitressing. Maybe that's the best idea to save money.
im a teacher and for my second job i work at huntington learning center...i had the same problem- i thought tutoring would be great but didnt know how to get my name out there so instead i decided to work at a tutoring center..i work after school 3 days a week and its really easy! theres locations all over long island!
