second thoughts *Pics of my dress*

Original post by DMcK

I went for my first dress fitting last night and left in tears. My dress seems so dull and plain, and I feel like it's not flattering. Am I insane? Does this happen to everyone? Should I look for another dress? Here are the front and back pictures of my dress.

ETA: I had my second fitting in mid-March and feel much better. My sister & my best friend came with me and were raving, and I did feel better. Thanks for all of your support!

That dress is beautiful, the back really makes the whole dress, you are going to look gorgeous.

I don't think you are going to fall back in love with your dress until the alterations are done and the dress has been steamed. It's hard to imagine yourself as a beautiful bride when the dress sags and hangs in areas! Many brides have felt this way ~ there was a reason you fell in love with your dress (which is so beautiful and elegant) and you will see that reason again!!!!

Your dress is absolutely beautiful...just so happens that mine is similiar but with lower waist..

You can 'dress the dress' up with a veil or a headpiece or very cool jewlery...

Simple, especially in the case of your dress clearly means elegant...

I think it is beautiful!

In fact, I think I saw it last night on that for better or worse show... or something very very similar!

i'm goign through the same thing! I hate my dress, and WANT to buy a new one, but toally have NO money to even pay for what we already bought! ha ha! I got it back in August, and I think THAT's Why, i've seen it for SOOOOOOOOOOo long now, that I grew old of it... and want a NEWer one... Neenie said the same thing happened to her, but when she went for the fittting a few weeks ago, it was like putting it on for the first time again, adn that we'll be FINE!! hope so

That dress is very elegant! I think it's just the model that's wearing it that stinks...I'm sure you will look gorgeous on your wedding day!!

i Felt the same way about my dress!!!

Seriously though, when you put it on for your wedding, you will look gorgeous, and you will remember WHY you chose it in the first place!!!

Yes, i 'visited' my dress this weekend when I finalized the BM dresses and quite honestly, I didn't have that 'wow' feeling anymore but the way I figure...it's ordered...it looked good on....and I can't sit there and worry about it!

The dress is beautiful! Simple and elegant. The back is awesome! I love it! Maybe you could try everything on together (veil, jewlery, etc) to get the entire picture. You may feel different.

DJB - I went through this SAME thing... NOOO not U LP - Yes ME !!! Dress drama is common when we look at ur dresses & start to tear it apart as to what is doesn't have or needs or has too much of

words that were passed to me - you picked yr dress for a reason. You have not piked a veil or flowers yet - so really, you are only looking at part of the WHOLE picture.

have met you & think this dress reflects the quiet eloquence you portray. It is very beautiful.
