Secret Resorts????

We are thinking about booking the Secret Excellence resorts in Punta Cana. Anyone have any information about the Secrets resorts.

We are thinking of the Secrets Capri Riviera.
I've heard mostly good things about all the Secrets though.
We read through all the reviews on www.tripadvisor.com to get people's opinions.

One of my BM went there on her honeymoon last March. She totally loved it. She told me all about her trip and it sounded awesome. The rooms sounded amazing, and she said that the food was really good too. That's a lot coming from her b/c she is superpicky.

FH and I are going to Secrets Capri Riviera at the end of June for vacation. We will let you know how it is!!!

We had originally booked at the Punta Cana resort, but our travel agent had told us of reported cases of malaria in the past few months in Punta Cana specifically. I am sure many people have been there since the report came out and I am sure they are fine. But all it takes is one bad mosquito. My father had malaria in WW2. It is incurable and will render a person unable to donate blood for the rest of their life. Maybe I am paranoid, but I couldn't enjoy a vacation feeling worried.

I was, however, VERY impressed with all of the Secrets resorts as presented by our travel agent. I have no doubt that I will go to Secrets in Punta Cana someday. I have heard amazing things about it.

we went in June, it was beautiful and the service was great. some of the staff doesn't speak english well, but they are all accomodating and polite. the food wasn't too great, but still ok to eat. the beach is beautiful, and the driver that took us to the resort from the airport (which I thought was really cool because it's made out of palms!) said it was the best resort in punta cana. You won't regret it, really it's paradise. I have a lot of pics, if you want some FM me and I'll send you some scenic shots.
