Yes, we saw each other before the ceremony for pictures. My photographer was there to capture the moment where we first saw each other, and I look like such a big dork with my eyes wide open and the cheesiest smile... but it was genuine and I love the pic for that moment!

We're not doing it, but we're very traditional...even though we have a ton of things working against our favor that dictates that we SHOULD (another wedding ceremony taking place immediately after ours at the church, December so will be pitch black by time ceremony is over, another event at RH starting before us that will limit the time we have for pics before CH, etc.)...but we're going to just make the best of what we have to work with and do it the way we feel is right for us given our background.

i went back and forth on this a few times but i dont want to miss a moment of our wedding if it can be helped... so we will see each other b4 to do pics!

FH is sooooooo against it, feels its bad luck. I kind of fall in that category too. Keep trying to convince myself that it would be fine but it makes me stressed thinking about it.

our ceremony is at 6:30 at the reception hall so we are definitely doing pics before. we want to get the bulk of them done while it's light out and we are doing them on the beach in long beach. after the ceremony we are gonna take a few at the rh and then go to most of the cocktail hour so we don't have to spend as much time walking around from table to table

We are...again, when i first thought i this i didnt like the idea..but i think it makes sense now b/c we really want to enjoy our whole wedding and not be taking pics the whole time. Plus we are getting married at the RH so there is no gap btwn the ceremony and CH. Fh also said that it will calm him down if he sees me before...plus its some alone time we can to spend together before all the whirlwind begins.

Same as above. We're taking pics before the ceremony bc it's going to start at 6:30. We plan to do some sort of romantic reveal though.

Not doing it! Like a few other ladies I want FH to see my walking down the isle for the first time in my wedding dress.

But church is at 2:00 and Cocktail hour isnt until 5:30 so we have time in between to take pictures and what not and still enjoy our cocktail hour.

full mass?

NO WAY! I am not sitting / standing / kneeling for an hour or more!!! Just say I Do & go take our pictures please

I think I might as well. Like what many have said, I want to enjoy my cocktail hour. I'd love to wait until after for traditional aspects, but before the ceremony might be better...

We are. We are getting married at the RH, and don't want to miss the CH and more taking pics.

Nope... he'll see me first time as I walk down the aisle. My mass is at 3 pm and cocktail hour is at 7 pm- wedding is in August so it'll still be light out at 5 pm when we take pictures and we can still enjoy cocktail hour with our guests.

I have the same timeline. There's something so special to me about the moment you enter the doors of the church with the organ music playing. Everytime I think about it I well up with tears. Hope I make it, but I want FH to cry

We didnt and walking down the aisle was really one of the best moments of the day. i was really choked up... AND we still planned it so that we spent a lot of time at our cocktail hour which was really important to us

We are planning to see each other before the wedding. I think whether we see each other before the ceremony, it still is going to be special for us. We would have been dating for 8 yrs by the time we get married!!! And either way it will be special for us..
