Thom and I werent planning on it, however it seems as though to take some of the pictures we want it is necessary beacause after the ceremony it would be dark...but i dont want to be cursed with bad luck!! Also i want to be able to see people at my CH and for my BP to enjoy as much of the CH as possible.
What are you girls doing?

We're not seeing each other before I walk down the aisle. I want that to be such a special moment. We're taking pics after the ceremony around 5pm. If it's too dark then we'll go inside but I'm defintly not seeing him before church.

FH is stopping by withthe guys on his way to his parent's house to grab bagels and say hello before the wedding - and to pick up flowers. But then that's it - not until the actual ceremony will we see each other again.
I also want to be around at the cocktail hour - but it's kinda for selfish reasons. I want to say hello to as many people as possible then so FH and I can spend more time dancing.

I'm seeing FH before to take pics. I don't believe that it's bad luck. We won't have any time after to take pics and I want to enjoy my wedding, not be pulled out to take pics. Plus a lot of other brides said that it calms their nerves to see their FH before.

My ceremony isnt until 7 in FEBRUARY. in all my planning i managed to remember that to have a rabbi (hard enough to find to perform ceremony with a priest) that it has to be after sundown, but it never occured to me that it would be dark and some of the pics i wanted in the light would be impossible

Nope, we won't see each other until the doors of the church open up and I walk down that aisle. In fact, the last time we may see each might be at the rehearsal dinner and that is on Friday- we are marrying on Sunday. Talk about anticipation! I agree about walking around in cocktail hour- I want to boogie as much as possible!

That is another thing...my photographer said that the pics that you get when you see each other before are just way more intimate because it really is the first time you are seeing each other...

IM GETTING MARRIED AT THE RECEPTION HALL GARDENS SO THERE IS NO TIME TO TAKE PICTURES WITHOUT BEING PULLED OUT MY RECEPTION SO WE ARE SEEING EACHOTHER BEFORE.

We went back and forth, but we decided it just makes more sense to see eacjh other before. We're having a sunset ceremony with the CH immediately following. We didn't want all dusk/nightime photos and we didn't want to miss the CH, so we'll be taking photos in the afternoon and then just a few after the ceremony.

It's not bad luck! We're seeing each other before to take pictures becasue I want to be at my cocktail hour and reception. I would be a bundle of nerves if I had to spend all day with just my mom and sister and aunts w/o my FH to calm me down.

We decided to wait, and we were both happy we did. We had a Jewish wedding, so we signed the Ketubah before the ceremony, but when my parents walked me in and I saw the look on his face, I knew we had made the right desicion. He thought it was silly before the wedding, but now he's glad.

ditto. we are going to see each other before to take pics, in order to avoid having to miss any part of the wedding. we don't want to miss a single minute!! our photographers showed us pics of couples seeing each other for the first time, and they are some of the most special pics we've seen. so we definitely want to have the moment captured in pictures.

I'm not really into superstition so when we learned that it would be dark after the ceremony (it's @ 5:00) we decided to take pictures before. We are getting married in the Fall so we can have outdoor pictures (I will be so pissed off if it rains!) so it was an easy decision. My FMIL is NOT happy!
