We are seeing each other before the wedding - to take the pics - so we don't need to use up the entire cocktail hour taking them - instead - we can talk with everyone then and not have to miss out on the actual reception. In some ways though - i wish we weren't - any of you have any ideas on how to make it special or romantic? TIA!

Re: Seeing each other before wedding
I was a BM at a good friend's wedding and we took pics before hand. She said that seeing her FH before the ceremony really helped to calm her down. WE all had a little breakfast of bagels and orange juice from the back of her dad's trunk in the church parking lot, it was cute.

I know how you feel. We're taking pics before the ceremony as well.

We're doing the same thing. All I can think of is to try to have the first moment you see each other be private, without your families, photographer and videographer watching.

I have to disagree with Jax on one thing -- I think you should have a private moment but your photo and/or video should DEFINITELY be there!! How could miss getting that special moment on film?? I've heard of photographers making this moment very special for the bride and groom. Don't know exactly what they do, but I know that I would regret not capturing that moment, especially since you won't have the moment when he sees you for the first time walking up the aisle.

Our photographer's are setting a moment up for just the two of us...not sure of the specifics - not sure if I want to know just yet. But I think it will be beautiful and romantic.

Jimmy'sbride, I definitely see what you mean about capturing the moment, but I feel like I would be very self conscious with the cameras there and the moment wouldn't be as natural - but that's just me!
