seeing eachother before ceremony,

I was wondering if you were taking pictures of just you both with the bridal party and parents or everyone, family etc. My dad got kinda upset when I told him I wanted all pics done before the ceremony, he said no one should see me before i walk down the isle, it ruins everything. But I want to get to enjoiy my whole cocktail hour and finish the pics before. what is everyone doing?

Re: seeing eachother before ceremony,

I am without a doubt doing all my pictures before the ceremony.. we are getting married at our reception venue, so right after- cocktail hour starts.. I do not want to miss any of the party that I am spending a year to plan.. It makes much more sense to me, to get pics out of the way.. so you are free to have some alone time with your groom, then join all the friends and family who came to share your special day with you.

Re: seeing eachother before ceremony,

I am taking pictures at my house before the ceremony with my family and my BM. After the ceremony we will take pics together and with both of our families and the rest of the bridal party. Hopefully we will have enough time.

Re: seeing eachother before ceremony,

We decided to not see eachother before the ceremony, instead, we are going to have a longer break between the ceremony and reception to take pictures. Luckily nobody has seemed to be annoyed by the break... I figure it is our day, why miss the cocktail hour to take pictures, or the big enterance into the ceremony...JMO

Re: seeing eachother before ceremony,

me too!- Our Ceremony and Reception are at same location.

(i'm getting married at Fox Hollow also) and the CH is the BEST PART! in NO way am I missing that! Plus, it's in my favorite room!
all our pics are being done beforehand.

What you can do, is make a GRAND enterance to get your pics done... like have all your friends/family (who will be in pictures) waiting for you to enter, so taht they can 'see you for the first time' all at once and make it special.

I am doing that with FH. I told him we would set up a 'special moment' where he would turn around and see me for the first time.(I'm getting teary eyed already) That was the only way I got him to agree to see eachother before. But I didnt think of that for the family. Great idea.

I agree completely. We're also having our photographer set up the moment where we see each other for the first time so it won't be like I run into him coming out of the groom's suite!

THe first time that I see FI will be when I walk down the aisle. They'll bring food down to the bridal suite for us. I think it takes away from the excitement if he would see me beforehand.

Re: seeing eachother before ceremony,

We did all the pics first, it was great. It was so wonderful when DH and I saw each other, then we had another great moment when I went up the aisle. It really extended our day, we didnt miss a minute of our wedding, cocktail hour or reception. I highly recommend it!
