Here is an issue i'm dealing with.... We are getting married at our reception hall and really want to enjoy at least some of our cocktail hour. FI really doesn't want to see me before the ceremony but, I think it would be a good idea if we got all our pictures out of the way beforehand. What are you guys doing?

I have a few hours between the church and reception so I don't have that problem. I've heard that alot of girls that are having the ceremony at the hall are doing the pictures beforehand and they don't have a problem with that. It seems to be getting more popular.

We're doing our pics before the ceremony so we can be at the CH. We'll stage some quiet time so his first time seeing me will be special. Then we'll ride together to the ceremony so we can get 5 minutes of quiet time before the craziness begins.

I have the same issue with the church and then the reception. what are you having your guests due during the gap in time?

we are going to take all of our picts before the ceremony. i love this idea so we can greet everyone at the ch and maybe even eat at our wedding.

FI doesn't want to see me. He wants to be surprised and wait till i'm walking down the aisle. we have time between the ceremony and CH so we'll have time for pic's after the church. as for the CH and being there. still up in the air with that. i want to be there, but at the same time i want to make a grand entrance when the reception starts.

FH and I will not see each other before the ceremony. We are getting married in a chapel that is 200 feet from the hall, so there won't be a gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour. We plan to get as much done before the ceremony as can (without seeing each other). I don't want a ton of posed photos anyway.

We are meeting 2 hrs before.
#1 we already live together #2 it's your wedding day, not your wedding moment. IMO you can see each other whenever you want. We are having our first meeting on the beach w/the photo and video guys to capture it #3 I refuse to miss all of my cocktail hr...especially since I'm paying for it! #4 We aren't getting married in a church, so I think it can be more informal

I don't think alot of people will come to the ceremony -- only close family (in my case, anyway). In any event, they will go home and change, then come to the hall. I've been told by many that people have to fend for themselves. Some go to a diner and have coffee, etc.
