Seeing the groom before the ceremony???

How many of us are taking pictures before the ceremony??? I'm getting married on location and refuse to miss a second of my cocktail hour...lol....

Anyone feel the same??

Are you going to make it a special moment when you first see each other?? What do you have in mind??

I want him to see me for the first time when I'm walking down the aisle. I can't wait to see that AWww shock look that will be on his face.

we did not see each other before hand and seeing him as I walked down the aisle was my favorite memory from the day. we got pictures in afterwards, made it to cocktail hour and had time to ourselves, it was perfect.

Fh & I decided to see each other beforehand. That way most pictures are out of the way. Plus, we are getting married at RH, so we don't have the time in between like you would if you got married at a church first.

Our photographer is planning on setting up a special moment for us to see each other, or at least I'm planning on making a special moment!

Other people have said it also relieves some of the nerves to see each other before the ceremony.

we got dressed together.... wouldn't have changed a thing... except all the people in our apartment getting in the way

can you believe I actually had to wait in line in my own apartment so I could go to the bathroom the morning of?

We saw each other before but the photographer's made a 'moment' of it. You can see it in my slideshow..

We are gdoing pics prior to ceremony too. I want to say hello to everyone at the CH so I can dance at the reception. hehe

We will do the typical thing where he is in a room w/ his back to me, then turn around. Just to have some element of surprise.

I feel better now....definetly doing it before hand! I can't miss a second of my martini bar....LOL!! Too many flavors to sample and too little time!!

Any ideas on how to make the moment special??

taking all pics before.. this way i am really enjoying myself at the wedding. I don't have to deal with rushing people away to take pics during the cocktail hour and fh and i can say our thankyou's and hello's during the ch.

Since we are having the whole wedding at the RH we have to see eachother beforehand to take pics or well end up missing cocktail hour and some of the reception and that would be horrible. Were party animals so we dont wanna miss any part of the reception! It will be less stressful to just get the pics over with before!

Since we have a morning wedding, we plan to take pics. in the morning so we will see each other before the ceremony. As much as I like seeing him down the aisle...we had to make that sacrifice. But I think either way, we'll be excited to see each other!

Same here, there's something still to be said for having that moment. FH absolutely REFUSES to see me beforehand, and to me going to the cocktail hour isn't so important.

I was originally dead set against seeing each other before, but since we are getting married at the RH and our ceremony will end only about 20 minutes before sunset to take pictures before and having the photog 'capture the moment.'

FH and I are going to have our pictures taken prior to the ceremony. It is still exciting for both of us coz it will be the first we'll each other all dolled up.

Like you, we'd like to enjoy the cocktail hour... and have some alone time before the reception.
