Seeing vendors on the weekends...

Has anyone had any luck with this, or has it been pretty much during the week when you are able to get appointments?

Thanks!

I've had to do everything on the weekend as I work during the week and I live in NYC (planning wedding out on East end of LI). You'll be able to do it, no problem

We were ableto book the hall and florist on the weekends. I have been having a lot of problems myself with seeing vendors during the week. They all say they can't do weekends because they are working weddings. I work in Manhattan and I don't have a car of my own, so it's very hard.

I live in Westchester, work in in Manhattan & am planing in Nassua (where I'm from)

I don't have a car, but FH does.

We saw the hall, 1 photographer & 1 florist on the weekend.
Usually I take the LIRR & FH drives down & meets me. We try & get late appointments--that's usually possible.

For my hair trial I took a half day & took the LIRR from work & I booked limo, 3 hotels & make up sight unseen ( as my mother would say ).

We were able to see some of the vendors on weekends, but we had to go early in the day (10:00 or 11:00 am) before they had weddings going on. I am doing very simple flowers, so I plan on just going there on a weeknight very soon.

I had no problem meeting with vendors on the weekend, but I did most of that during the winter, so I guess it's slower for them. I had one photo appointment on the weekend and the guy was rushing us out because he had a wedding to go to. Understandable, but if that's how you're going to treat potential clients, why make appointments on the weekend at all?
