that I procrastinated so long to book my hair and makeup. I wrote to a bunch of vendors yesterday...got emails back quickly saying many of them are booked already for my date. Which must have been the reason why in my dream last night I was about to walk down the aisle in my dress and I realized that had on no makup whatsoever and my hair wasn't done.![]()

What about going to a regular salon?? thats what I'm going to do b/c I'll have about 14 women getting their hair done lol but they are also accomodating and will usually open up early and at least there is multiple people to do both hair and makeup

We're using Cactus Salon in Plainview. Thats my regular salon and its not far from the hotel and church so i thought it would be great. I spoke to someone and I told her I'd have almost 15 girls coming with me. so she said no problem, they'll open early for me and have a stylist for everyone. Or at least enough to get everyone in and out fast. And she said i dont have to finalize everything until 2 months before.

Oyster Bay road and then another on Old Country Rd..also i'm not sure of the exact price but $125 & $150 comes to mind lol but I could be wrong...i have one of their services lists and it says an up do is $100 and up..not sure if bridal hair is different though

I go to one by La Piazza on Old Country Rd.
uh oh I've been procrastinating too...I havent even started looking for make up.
My hair stylist also does make up. Her salon is CIrage.
Just do a google search, like 'traveling make-up artist and long island', etc. There are SO many out there in addition to this site, or try a salon too like others suggested. Good luck!
what if you post on the vendors helping brides page to see who is available for your date? Hair stylists aren't really a big deal because there are so many stylists that do an amazing job, it's just the make-up artist you have to be careful with. I've seen a few girls who had trials at bare essentials and they've always come out gorgeous and the make-up artist will travel to you the day of.
Don't worry melissa you'll find somebody, theres so many out there and we just know all the names we usually see on here but there are plenty more that we dont know about...I'll try to see what other names i can find for you. ALso ask everlovingev, i remember pics from her trial and her make up looked GORGEOUS, just gotta find out if who she used travels to LI, but thats just one possibility. Oooo it just came to me, at lumara theres a girl who does make up, she did my make up for a wedding i went to and she did a great job and was so nice, although she works in a salon i wonder if you can request for her to come to your house, many of them would do that and do this alot...Alright date twin ill try to see who i can find, i mean on LIW youll see about 15-20 names all the time, theres ALOT more make up and hair artists than that lol.
There was recently a post for hair and make up....most of the posts were for people who are not vendors on here, so that might open up your options a lot more....I'm sure not all of them are booked for your day. Just keep looking and calling.....good luck!!
i found a few on craigs list who had good rates...i am gonna book a tiral in the next few weeks with one i found in plainview....also i am gonna set up a trail with fresh face forward they are an LIW vendor her rates are pretty good!
