Selling the jar I used for my cootie catchers and Michele31 used as her wishbowl. Anyone interested? (Will bring to GTG so no shipping for those who are coming)
Bought it from Pier One for $25. Traditional styling with a touch of green. Made from mouth-blown recycled glass, (8 1/2 dia x 15 3/4'h) Here is an ugly photo:
Here it is on my coffee table before my wedding:
Dont have any good photos of it at the reception scanned.

It's a game, a fortune telling game. If you land on 'hit the dancefloor' you do it. Or not, it's just a really cute fun idea, and I think very original for a wedding. I haven't done one since I was in elementary school!
Great job Stef!

They are these little orgami paper things that little girls make. You write the names of boys in it and stuff and it 'tells your future'.

And you hand them out at the wedding.....
Explain more. I get the general idea.. But the guests pick them up and then play?

Stef- That is beyond awesome!!! So original for a wedding- my fear is that my wedding will just blend with all the others.... this kind of creative stuff is what I was talking about in my FM!!! Totally, different, fun and creative!!! Very Martha Stewart...

Re: Selling my cootie catcher jar / wishbowl...
Thanks Sept.
Teresa: I put them in the jar at the cocktail hour and let people find them. Most of the older people probably had no clue what they were but I think the younger set got a kick out of them. It was just a little detail that I added that didnt cost very much b/c I made the cootie catchers myself.

The template was not hard to make at all.
I didnt do a wish bowl but its something used in place of a traditional guestbook where guests write little notes to the bride and groom. Do a search and you will see lots of posts about it.
Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I did the wishbowl and it was really nice. You get guests to put their 'wishes' for you in the bowl.
