Re: semi bugging
Its not that bad. They usually aren't very long (maybe 10 minutes?) Sometimes they play music, which can help. Just close your eyes and think about the wedding!

Ive never had one, but I know there are 'open' and 'closed' MRI places. I would opt for open if you can.
GOOD LUCK!

Re: semi bugging
they're not too bad....if its on your leg- you won;t have to go all the way in the 'capsule'....i had to get one last summer- and they only put me in half way (sounds funny lol) ....just take deep breaths to relax because the worst part about it having to keep your leg still for 30 minutes
*edited for spellos

Re: semi bugging
GL! I had multiple ones for my neck, shoulder and back. They are loud but they give you headphones usually and ask what station you want it on. I laid down for mine but my mom stood up for hers (her knee). If its your leg they will only put you in feet first so most of you won't be under anything at all. Its really not bad at all, mind of matter!

Re: semi bugging
I just had one for my hip so my best advice is ...
Keep your eyes closed! Ask them to tell you how many seconds each series of 'tests' are (or just the banging you will hear) and then count through them! I did the first one like that it it made the time seem a lot shorter, plus it distracted me.
good luck!!!

Re: semi bugging
I'm back....thanks ladies, i know I'm such a baby but I get so claustrophobic...it was 30 mins, my technician was an angel I told him he had a 29 year old chicken on his hands. My whole body was but my head was sticking out, played music for half the time then he forgot to put it back on, was very loud! Thankfully it's over and i'm waiting for results!

Re: semi bugging
Some of them have music in them... see if you can bring an ipod or something with you (not sure if you can though)
