My sister-in-law has the same first name as me. When she married my brother, she took his last name. Therefore, we have the same name, and live in the same zip code. It wouldn't be so bad, but companies can't keep us straight. I can't tell you how many times my Victoria's Secret orders have been sent to HER (um, panties that say 'cupcake' on the rear have been opened by my brother, lmao) , and vice versa. I get shipment confirmations from stores I know I didnt order from, and I need to call to ensure my credit card wasnt stolen, etc.
DOCTORS get us confused, which is really bad since we both are allergic to things, etc. I make it a point to always check the date of birth on the file before the doctor sees me. Today she called me and said she got a bill to the dermatologist that I visited last month. I had to call and confirm that my info was recorded on the correct chart.
I like my name, but I hate sharing it. Can't wait till I can change it, I guess.

Yes, I'm taking his name. I like my own name, but it will make things so much easier if we have different names. I never was good at sharing!

There was a GUY with same last name as me and similar first name (my korean name) in my college, same year. One year they mixed us up and I was placed in the boys only dorm!

I'm a pharmacy tech and I had this problem in one of my stores... two of our very regular customers were sisters in law just like you with the same name and their stuff used to get mixed up alllll the time... drugs getting billed to the wrong insurance... it was bad, espcially when the regular people weren't there.
Make sure you're diligent with your pharmacy claims as well if you use the same store or even the same chain. Make sure it's getting billed to YOUR insurance

lol. I know exactly how you feel. My brother used to date a girl with the exact name as mine, who lived around the corner from us. When we were in High school, they used to confuse the two of us and call my mom and tell her that I cut school, she is 3 years younger than me, and they continued to call my mom saying that I cut school even when I was in college. And the hospital somehow got the two of us mixed up, and charged my insurance company for an abortion. I looked at the statement, and just said to myself I never got an abortion. lol. When I called the insurance company, of course it was her. I should have guessed. lol

I can't believe so many companies get your stuff confused. You would think that they would have the correct info on file to send you the right stuff, especially if you ordered stuff online.

That's insane! Someone actually married into the family a couple years ago and she took my cousin's name so her name is identical to mine now (even our middle name, which is not a common one, by any stretch of the imagination). The only saving grace is that I've never actually met her and she lives across the country so we don't have the same issue you do.
Hang in there, the name change will come soon enough.

wow that's weird!
I had a coworker here leave and after dealing with a client of mine, was directed to a girl with her name. When I said OMG I cant believe you went there...she said, you're thinking of my sister in law. We have the same name. I never thought anyone else would have the same situation.

OMG My FH sister and I have the same name, and same spelling. Thankfully shes getting married this July so when I change my name it wont be the same. Im praying we dont have issues with this though! The other night the phone rang and they asked for Kristy... I said it was me.. but it was for her.
