Semi-wedding related: Construction begins for our apt.

so we had been on again off again with living in my parents upstairs for about a year after getting married.

anyway we have decided its prob for the best to save up money for buying something sooner so the construction begins this week!!! should be entertaining!!! ill keep you updated!

That's awesome ...construction on our house starts in 2 weeks.. it was supposed to start Tuesday but the weather is not looking so good.. Good Luck to you and FH

thanks to you guys too!!! i wish it was on our own house.. buts just putting a super small kitchen into my parents upstairs. but it will be worth it in the long run i hope!

i hope i love it!!!

we're starting this week supposidly.. FH has 3 days off this week so it works out. and FH's partner is giving us his stove and fridge (so nice of him) so we dont have to buy anything. just have to buy the sink and cabinets. should be a quick process. just have to knock down one wall. and then were pretty much done!

Megan we are doing the same thing this past week and this week coming. We are going to be saving over $1,000/month and my mom and step dad and fh have been redoing the apartment for 2 weeks.

They knocked down a wall, redid the entire bathroom, put down wood floors, new carpeting in the bedroom, new paint and everything else.

We have to be out of our apt. by Friday. I am living in disaray. Half our apt. is packed up and the new apat. should be done by Tuesday hopefully.

It is stressfully, time consuming, and alot of hard work, but we just look at it as a stepping stone and hopefully shortly after the wedding we can start looking for our own home.

We will be living with my FFIL. FH inherited his house and we will be dormering up his ranch. Its about 1500 sq feet..2 bedroom ,2 full bath, livingroom, and kitchen..all of our rooms will have cathedral ceilings... Im really excited..and eventually the entire house will be ours and have 5 bd 4 bath

i agree its going to be so worth it in the end! were hoping to be here less then or close to a year so we can pretty much bank our salaries

ok we were under construction for about a year! and you girls are talking about it taking WEEKS!!



too funny. . . its just bc we had a few people helping us and they knew we had so much time so we couldnt really rush them its just so funny!

i think you had alot more to do then we do.. all we have to do is take down a SMALL wall and put in a wall of cabinets and hook up a stove.. the previous owners put all the plumbing in all we have to do is attach the sink.

you guys redid everything correct?
