send parents an invite?

Original post by Notwedyet08

I hope this doesn't seem like a silly question-but do i mail an invitation to my parents?

They know when the wedding is; what time; guess i still need to go through the formaily of giving them an invitation?

thanks

ETA:Also- i see my parents at least 1x week. Do i need to mail it to them; or can i just bring it over with me! I know it's just the cost of the stamp; but i'm gonna see them probably before they actually get it in the mail!

Yes! it's a great keepsake!

I'd also mail it because it's a good test to see when and in what condition your invites are arriving. You can, however, save soem money on the response card stamp and collect it in person.

Def give them an invite, and I think it's fine if u give it to them personally, I'm doing this with people from work

I am! My mom is saving everything from our wedding and probably making a scrapbook. My dad loves putting our wedding stuff on the fridge so he'll get one as well!

I did it as a test to see when and how the arrived. My parents thought I was retarded and I wasted $$ but I feel you should send an invite to EVERYONE

You don't have to (and it's totally fine to hand deliver it to them if you want). You also don't have to send to the BP if you don't want to either.

We are personally sending to everyone because we had to order X amount of invites anyways so we might as well send them one.

I handed my mom one when I got the finished product.

she felt all special she has it on the fridge a month before everyone else received them.

I just handed them one (but it was addressed to them, etc). We are mailing to FMIL & FFIL

I would say definitely yes, your parents will enjoy receiving a formal invite in the mail, i think it just makes it more special instead of like 'Oh here mom you know your invited.' there's usually no question your parents are invited but i think the invite should still be sent.

I will definitely be doing it. My parents live in az. They will be so excited to see what I chose and keep it forever.
