Sending out invites overseas... stamp question...

Sending out invites overseas... stamp question...

I have to send out about 5 invites to some of my family in Italy. My question is....

How much does an average invite cost to be mailed internationally? Do I have to get both the response card & invite envelope weighed, and use different kinds of stamps?

I never mailed anything overseas, so I have no idea what Im doing!!

Thanks

I had about 5 overseas invites too and I left the stamps off and had the PO weigh them. The prices depend on weight and what country they are going to. We didn't put any postage on the RSVP envelope.

Bring the invite to the post office and have them weigh them. They will give you the stamps. Don't put a stamp on the rsvp envelope because they will need italian postage to return them

I brought the invite there and weighed it, and just added the amount of stamps needed to cover the postage. They told me that I couldn't put a stamp on the RSVP because they need to use their own stamps, not ours, to send it back.

For my Italian invites, I got them only the invitations, with everything on it. I didnt do response cards, so not worth it, they dont send them back, I wrote everything in Italian on the invite with the phone numbers. It cost me I think .84$ each, international. But it depends on how much they weigh.

I had one going to China - it cost $1.65, but I had heavy invites. Just ask the post office to mail it for you and tell you the postage - they can tell you exactly the amount you need

Don't put return stamps on RSVPs. They have to use stamps from Italy. My invites were 84 cents to Israel, but it depends on size and weight.

I had to send my invite overseas to the islands and it cost me 3 (63 cent stamps) I hope that helps you out. I also sent one to Canada and it cost me 2 (63 cent stamps)

We did the same - had them weighed at the post office and then put my pretty stamps on at the counter once I knew how much it would cost. I didn't put anything on the rsvp envelope - the post office told me to leave them off.

When I sent my invites to Italy I just had the PO weigh them and mailed them out that way. I didn't put any stamps on my RSVP cards because I know they have different postage.
