Sending save the dates?

Hi Ladies,
how far in advance did you/ do you plan to send save the dates? I have them and have just started to put them in envelopes and collecting addresses so I am going to need a good 3 more weeks to get it all done. Do you think sending them at the end of February for the first week in December wedding is a good time frame? I figured that was roughly 9.5 months by the time everyone gets them! What do you all think?

Sending save the dates? - Long Island Weddings

My friend is getting married at the end of August and she is sending hers out end of January so that's 8 months. So I think you sending them in February or even a little after you should be more then fine

We sent ours about 10 months out and that was because ours is on a holiday weekend so we wanted to give plenty of notice. So you're more than fine sending them in February!

Sending save the dates? - Long Island Weddings

I'm getting married in August and we sent ours out at the end of September. We have a lot of out of town guests and most of our friends are teachers so we wanted enough heads up in case anyone started booking vacations and stuff.

Sending save the dates? - Long Island Weddings

I'm doing mine next month so about 8 1/2 months out. I have a ton of OOT guests so I want to give people ample time to make travel arrangements. Otherwise, I probably would have waited another month or two. We are going to have return addresses printed on our envelopes and then have guest addresses printed on labels!

Sending save the dates? - Long Island Weddings

We sent ours at 10 months out. We would have waited longer, but we have a ton of OOT guests. I printed the addresses directly on the envelopes (like...with a printer, not with my hand!). It wasn't too difficult but labels would have been much less of a hassle!

I'm a total slacker.. sending them out this weekend so a little more than 5 months before. Getting lists and addresses from our parents took forever.

Sending save the dates? - Long Island Weddings

For our August wedding I sent out the save the dates about 11 months before. The may be too early for some people, but for us we have so many OOT guests that we felt it was needed.

I actually sent mine out just over a year out since we're A: Getting married 12 days before Christmas. and B: I have a TON of OOT (and out of country) guests so I wanted them to have AMPLE time since I'm a nervous wreck with travel plans.

Also... I hand wrote my addresses because I can't be bothered to fight with the labels and printer. I have very neat handwriting so I wasn't concerned. I had a stamp from an etsy shop for our return address :)

we sent ours out the beginning of the month, and we're getting married at the end of August. So ... about 8.5 months in advance.
