separates

what do you think of separates for the bridal party? i have been debating this issue for a while now. everytime i see it in a wedding mag i love it. but i have my doubts b/c it some ways it looks unorganized and not put together. but i also like it b/c it gives the BM choice and maybe they will wear it again if they pick it out. also it lets everyone feel comfortable in their attire b/c they will chose what fits them best. is anyone else doing separates??? if i do i might set the skirt to be the same. a line floor length....same material for all. then allow them to each choose a top. what do you think??

That is a good idea i originally wanted my BMs to have different styles for the body too but bein gthat i have 8 BMs I'm afraid it will look too confusing

Jazzy, I was just in a wedding of 8 BM and we had separates.

3 in one dress
3 in another dress
2 in a different style

It looked fine, I actually liked it, everyone was comfortable!

I actaully don't. Sorry.

I didn't write it before we didn't have TOTALLY different dresses, we all had the same bottoms, but the tops were different style but all the same color and same designer.

i like the speartes idea...i say go for it!!! a friend of mine is picking out the skirt and we get to pick out the tops...i like it!!!

Ive been considering seperates for the BP if I cant find what I want...guh I dont even want to think about trying to find TWO instead of just one!

I love the seperates.. I know a few of my girls really want them..so i am going to let them decide as long as they are all the same color!

I love the separates...I plan on picking the color & bottoms and having each girl pick their own top. I'm anticipating 7-8 girls so hopefully it looks good.

I personally am not a fan of them. I just say that because it will always look like a BM's dress. I went with something that the girls will be able to wear again to another event or just out with their significant others. I wanted them to get more use out of it then just letting it hang in the closet like my seperate.
JMO though.
