I came across on the Mori Lee website, a few dresses that look the same except for that one is strapless, the other is halter, the other has sleeves, etc. but otherwise, it's the same dress.
Considering I have girls of different body types, should I just let them choose between the 4 dresses that are different styles of the same dress or let them choose separates from the same designer?
I know my mother and MOH are kind of opposed to separates, but I wore it for my brother's wedding, and I have to admit I looked damn good!
I attached the Mori Lee dresses that look the same except for the top part....
My dress was Mori Lee too. I think its a nice idea, but I would try to stick with all the same material, either chiffon or satin. Here the dress we used and it was STUNNING
ETA: It looked much better on my girls. That girl looks like she just rose from the dead.
you have to take all the girls to try them on. and line them up to see if they all go with each other. if they are different material. i wouldnt do it. like you said each girl has different body type. they all might not be comfortable with strapless or feel to closed in with the sleeveless.

My advice would be to let them decide but I would stay with the same material as well. I told my girls that their dresses have to be red, satin and by the same designer. Everything else is up to them. I don't care if they wear the same dress or different dresses. It's best for them to decide, and one less thing for me to worry about.

I kept my ladies in the same designer, fabric and color. They picked different styles (2 piece) and I really like how it came together.

I loved Mori Lee Gowns!!! I agree with another bride. It's nice to keep the same fabric. I like the first dress better. Good luck.

Thats what my BP is doing will Bill Levkoff dresses. The BP sizes are 4, 6, 16 and (teen sizes - however THEY run). The adults are wearing 2 piece sets all in Euro Navy with different tops. The teens will more than likely wear one-piece Bill Levkoff dresses. All dresses in the same satin fabric. Everyone is very happy to be able to wear what makes them comfy and still look like a bridal party.

The dresses I posted are all in the same fabric, chiffon.
I was thinking about the one with the sleeves for one of my BMs because she told me yesterday that she hates her arms, and prefers to cover them up.
I'm going today to check on the dresses myself to get an idea. (How it looks on a normal girl is always different than how it looks on the anorexic models!!)
Although the seperates I was thinking of going with would be with Impression. They would have to be the same color and material (organza) but they could pick their own pieces.

I actually had my one BM come with me because it just worked out that she was the one with the largest chest and was also the shortest and the dress looked great on her.

Yeah, that would be my SIL. She's short (4'9') and the most busty of all the girls. But she lives in SI so I won't see her until next Sunday.

my girls are wearing separates. I like separates better than having them get different dresses. I wore a separate dress for my brothers wedding and I didn't think I would like it either. Some people are not open to it, they should try it on and I'm sure they won't be able to tell a difference.

FYI..2 of the dresses came with shawls which was a happy surprise. It was unfortunate one of the ladies is now shawl-less. The last dress you have up is one of my dresses chosen (comes with a shawl). Also, the other 2 dresses were strapless, but they are having detachable straps made to suit the body type of the BM. Just bought an extra yard of fabric.

We planned on buying an extra yard or two of fabric. You never know when it might come in handy.
Thanks for posting your pictures. It is nice to be able to see how the different dresses look together in the same color.

Thats what I intend on doing-but I would stick with the same material as well. All of my girls are different sizes and I would prefer for them to be comfortable that matching.

I chose Bill Levkoff in Euro Red and all the girls picked what style they wanted. They range from a size 4 to a 18.
