Once I book the hall, I'll start with the vendors. Hopefully my mom could come up here for Thanksgiving to go dress shopping.

The Rabbi said the same thing to us. You want to make sure you get the date that you want.

Re: sept '05 brides?????
I wanted June My FH wanted sept, less chance of rain. we went in march to book and their were limited dates. as long as your flexible you will find a great place. I was hoping to have my dress ordred by Jan. I know that is waiting until the last minute.

Re: sept '05 brides?????
As long as you are flexible you should be fine. I think my date was about my 4th choice at the time (although now I am very happy with it!) Now that I see how much more other people have done than me I am not surprised that the dates I originally wanted were already booked!

JMC, why was it your 4th choice? I had some reservations about the date. I didnt even realize what the date was until after booking it.

Re: sept '05 brides?????
My FH has a lot of friends that are NYPD and NYFD that lost friends on 9/11. I just figured if I could avoid having it the day before that, but still be in Sept. I would. Definitely happy with the date, it's a beautiful time of year. I just didn't want to offend any guests.

Re: sept '05 brides?????
I hear you about the date and i am geting mixed 'reviews'...but sept 10 was beatuiful day and all was right in the world.. that is how i am looking at it. Not to mention i have heard a few people are getting married on 9/11.
lets hope for the best

Re: sept '05 brides?????
I don't have anything but the hall either... As for the day I didn't really think about it till after... I personally lost people in 9/11 and I don't think they would want me to change my date because of it. People get married on Memorial day and Vetrans day too.
