Sept 15th Brides - Is your FI named Mike? Because.....
Im curious because my FI keeps running into an old friend named Mike who is getting married one day after us, on the 15th. As a matter of fact we ran into him in Fortunofs yesterday - he was picking up the rings. It looks like there is a chance we may run into him on our honeymoon in Florence! Is this familiar to any of you 9-15 Brides?

That sounds soooo nice for your honeymoon. Actually we are going to the Canary Islands, which are a part of Spain but right off the coast of Africa. We'll be in the same part of the world though! When does everyone leave for their honeymoon? We leave Sunday evening from Kennedy.

Have you been to the Canary Islands? We didn't know much about them. It's a time share b/c my father has a time share in the RCI network and we were able to pick from around the world. Of course about 8 places we wanted were already booked, or didn't have spaces opened yet. So we just said find us somplace tropical but not in the hurricane area.

Yes, I was in Tenerife and Lanzarote. I had a great time but this was about 6 years ago! It is a very popular European resort destination. Lots of English and Germans. Try and get around to the quieter parts of the island (we rented mopeds) because that is where most of the beauty is. Are you going to several of the islands? I have heard Gran Canary is really nice also. You should have great weather!

Wow! How exciting to talk to someone who has been there. We are going to be staying on Tenerife. And our place is away from the Las Americas and Los Christianos where it sounds very touristy. Renting mo-peds would be so much fun! Thanks for the suggestion. We haven't thought too much about going to another island. I wanted to wait until we got there to decide. There's so much we want to do, but not enough days. Thank you so much for your info -- it makes me feel a lot better about where we are going.

MiniBride - Questions?
What islands did you go too? Did you stay in an overwater bungalow? What tours did you do? We have shark feeding planned and my fiance can't wait. Love to hear about your trip. Who did you book through? We are using Tahiti Legends.

You can email me for more detail...I'd be happy to tell you all about it! One thing I will warn - if you have time to sign up for the meal plans, do it! The food is expensive and a lot of couples that we met on the trip didn't plan well for this, and they had to forgo some of the excursions to pay for meals. It's kinda sad. [email protected]
