Sept. Brides...please tell me where you are going on your HM!

We still have not booked our honeymoon! All the places we want to go are either out of budget or not seasonally appropriate. I'm hoping you all can give me some inspiration!

Im right at the end of August and we are going to Jamaica. We got the insurance just incase of anything.

Right now we are thinking Greece for 10 days.

Costa Rica

Do you think Aruba is too comercialized?? That is the feedback we got for the TA. Is that correct?

good idea on the insurance! We have tried to travel 3 times at the end of august beginning of Sept and it has been a disaster for us so the Carribean is out because of our extream bad luck. We happend to be on day 3 or a 10 day trip a few years back when the only hurricane to hit cabo decided to happen. We had insurance but it didn't cover anything but the hotel. We were out the nights that we spent there as the storm approached as well as the flight. *****... We have the worst luck.

I'm going to Italy for 2 weeks and going to Venice, Florence, Sorrento and Rome. Aruba is not commercialized (my opinion). it's one of the best islands I've been too and love it there.

What about Cabo?

We're doing 15 days, 14 nights...we are looking doing

2 nights in Venice
2 in Florence
2 in Rome
(traveling city to city by train)

flight to Athens, connect to Mykonos (basically lose that day traveling)
3 in Mykonos
Hydrofoil to Santorini-3 nights there
then fly to Athens and spend 2 nights there (one sightseeing day there) and then fly home first thing in the AM.

We're trying to decide if its too much jumping around right now but thats the itinerary we're looking at now. That trip is running us around 8K with first class hotels. Not toooooooo bad.

ETA--I don't think Aruba is over commercialized

Also, another one we liked was Napa and Cabo but we've both been to Cabo already.

LOL...I guess I didn't write it big enough above. We were there a few years ago in Cabo when it got hit with a hurricance labor day weekend. We are not going back there.

Which TA are you ladies using?

We are not going until December. We didn't want to risk it during hurricane season. We're taking a cruise and didn't like the itineraries offered in September and finally found one we love that leaves in December.

Thanks for all the replies, ladies! Is anyone doing anything you've never heard about before? Just wondering if there is something we haven't all thought about before.

Not getting married in September but we are going to Hawaii!!!! I can't wait!!! I think it's a safe option in regards to hurricanes at that time of year.
