One more post today, and that's it for today....I swear....
I always thought I would love a fall wedding with the foliage changing all those beautiful colors. But NOW....I'm thinking maybe September would be better, a little warmer, sun is still setting a little later....I don't know?
Opinions anyone?

Well that easy for me! I always wanted a fall wedding so I set the date for the end of October. September is nice too as you said it's warmer. You can still do a fall theme. But I wanted the foliage in my wedding pictures.

I am an Oct bride but picked Sept because the weather is better in Sept. We picked October for the honeymoon since FH wants to snowmobile. We are going to british columbia for our HM and chances of snow are better in Oct. :)
But really, either month is great!!!

I am a September bride, my wedding is on Sept 28th so it is still nice weather but considered Fall. I would pick September or beginning of October!!! Good luck.

I would have loved to pick september, but it was much more expensive than I wanted. So we opted for November and I'm actually starting to get excited about it!!!

Well last year it was really warm in October so it could work in your favor. I don't want it to be super hot on my wedding day which is why we went with October.

I am an October bride because I want the fall foilage in the backround and I like it when it is cooler. It is going to be hot enough in my dress.. couldn't imagine what it would be like in 85-90 degree weather.

I am in the same boat I was looking to book for October 11, 2008, but now with this weather I am thinkig of moving it up too late September - it is a bit chilly out there.. The weather is weird you never know, but I would play it safe and go with mid - late Sept.

If I could pick any month, it would be October. I love the fall on LI. Plus my birthday is Oct 11! Yay October.

my first wedding was beg. of oct and it was beautiful - usually stays warm (indian summer) until at least the 15th

Yeah last fall was really warm. I even remember december being warm! This year seemed to have chilled a bit but you never know from year to year if it will be warm.

We initially wanted September but due to availability, we went with early October. Maybe just compromise and pick a day between the last two weeks of Sept and first two weeks of October.
The weather here in NY is crazy. Who knows if it'll be unseasonably hot or cold, raining or sunny....too bad we're not in California when you can pretty much just count on it being HOT!

If you want to go with the Fall theme, you should pick October ( I say this even though I am a 9.29.07 Bride). Really, if you like Fall colors, pick October because, as you can see right now, the leaves have not changed yet and the trees are mostly green. I wanted an outdoor cocktail hour and I did not want Fall colors, so I went with September 29. Cooler but feels more like summer to me. (By the way, this weekend looks like its going to be warm!!!)
Check the sunset times for this time of year and also the average temps. That should help you narrow it down a bit.

I think both will be beautiful, my favorite season has always been fall - I LOVE the colors and the smell of the leaves on the ground so I chose October
