September 12th Wedding Review (Bourne Mansion)

Girls I apologize that it has been so long for my review but between the wedding and then a two week honeymoon and then traveling for work it has been a long time since I have been back at my office.

My wedding was on Friday, September 12th and honestly it was FANTASTIC!!!! The weather was great...a little breezy but otherwise I got to take all my picutes outside and I was very happy about that.

Flowers: Flower Michelle A++++++++++++ John was absolutely amazing and would recommend him to EVERYONE!!!! He is a great guy and people RAVED about the flowers all night long.

Limos: Dynasty Limos A+
After reading some other reviews of Dynasty I wasn't sure I made the right decision but honestly the cars were imaculate and the man who drove my parents and I in the roylce was great. No complaints at all.

Photography: Art-tistic Images A++++
Arty my photographer was professional, ON-TIME, and IMO all around great. He didn't cost me a fortune and my proofs came out great. he put all the picutres in a book for me in chronological order of the day. I know I am going to have a hard time only choosing 50 pictures to go in my album.

Make-up Artist: His name was Rodney A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I went to about 5 different people for my make-up trials and I was miserable after every one of them. I was told about Rodney from a friend and tried him and LOVED HIM!!! He was very reasonable as well. If anyone wants his number please let me know.

Dress: IMAN BRIDAL B+
I really loved my gown and was happy that I used Iman but I did have a few bumps along the road. My dress was suppose to be in July and wasn't in until mid August. MY BM's dresses took twice as long as they were suppose to as well...
My dress was perfect and so was my veil but it took them 3 times to get my veil right...and didn't get it until the DAY BEFORE my wedding.

Hair: Gizay Michaels Salon: A+++++
Jane did my hair and it was great. Great salon!!!!

MUSIC: CURRENT AFFAIR A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. EVERYBODY AND I MEAN EVERYBODY commented on my band...They played all night and great songs. They had people dancing all night long on the dance floor.

Bourne Mansion: A+++++++++++++++
I can honestly say that I loved everything about my wedding. The Bourne Mansion is such a great location IMO b/c it is so different that a regular catering hall. When people walked in they were AMAZED by the place. I even had my ceremony there and it was truly spectacilar.
During the cocktail hour I had placed a ton of pictures everywhere on the mantles and all around and all the guests LOVED IT!!
The food was AMAZING...so I hear. I was very nervous b/c I didn't know much about Lessing's catering but they truly outdid themselves. People kept telling me the food was outrageous! The actual reception in the main ballroom was just perfect!!!! The only issue I had was with the bathrooms. Since it is an old mansion there are three individual bathrooms and one of the toilets got clogged. They did get a plumber there to resolve it but I was not happy about that.
Everything else went great that day and the Maitre'd Steve really pulled everything together.

If you are still looking for a great wedding site for your big day and plan on having about 200 guests, ...I would suggest taking a ride out to the Bourne Mansion.

The main room IMO does not hold more that 200 people with a Nice Size dance floor. There is a side room that you can also use but they don't like to put more that 50 people in that room.
I think 500 would be too many for Bourne Mansion. I have heard that Oheka has a larger room now...perhaps they can accomodate that many.
I know the Crest Hollow Country Club holds that many!!!
