Can anyone recommend places to go on my honeymoon? My wedding is on Sept. 16, 2006 and I don't want to have to worry about hurricane season in the Caribbean.
My only requirement is that I want to be able to relax in a warm climate so I can get a tan.
I thought about taking a two part honeymoon -- a relaxing one in a hot climate and maybe the second half in Spain (or maybe even a Mediterranean cruise).
Also, if you have any good hotel/cruise ship recommendations, please let me know. I want to at least know the best ones, so assume money is no object.

We went to the Greek islands and it was incredible. It was a perfect time to go-the weather was warm (70s/80s), but not too hot, and it was less crowded. I'm so glad we went there. Greece is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing.

We are going to Tahiti/Moorea/Bora Bora. It is their high season!

Although Aruba is in the Caribbean, it's out of the Hurricane Zone.

We went to ARuba (September 26th) It was great. We stayed at the Hyatt and we loved it. That time of year is so great because there aren't a lot of families there. It is mostly honeymooners. WE can't wait to go back. The weather was hot and gorgeous all 8 days we were there. ARuba is below the hurricane belt so you are safe.

We're going to California and spending 2 weeks in Wine Country/San Francisco/ Monterey. It's not really going to be beach weather, but it is harvest season there so the wineries will be beautiful! The only thing we have to worry about is earthquakes!!!

I wanted to go somewhere I haven't been before, so that takes Greece out. Although my FH hasn't been there, so maybe we will consider it. Did you find that going there was a lot of work for your honeymoon? I absolutely loved Santorini.
I was looking into Bora Bora, specifically the Meridian Resort, which looks amazing.
I was also considering Fiji, but I haven't done much research at all yet.

My wedding is at the Garden City Hotel. You are going to have such great pictures at the Montauk Yacht Club.

Curacao and below the hurricane belt and loads of fun. You can visit the Amstel brewing factory and the Curacao distillery!!!

We went to Hawaii from 8/29-9/11 and the weather was fabulous. We went to Maui and Kauai and they were both special and beautiful.

We got married in sept & took a Royal Caribbean cruise to the southern Caribbean. IT left San Juan- went to St Thomas, St Lucia, Barbados, St Maarten & St johns. It was fantastic. We stayed 2 extra nights in San Juan. Each day was more beautiful than the next, no hurricane issues.
Royal Caribbean is GREAT. We really lucked out with weather. There are some amazing Mediterranean cruises out there. GOOD LUCK!

We went on a Mediterranean cruise and it was incredible. We chose the Celebrity Milennium. I got a great deal through cruisecompete.com

I am getting married 9/16/06 -- we are going on a Mediterranean cruise (Monte Carlo, Italy, etc.). I think it will be great! But just be aware that September is sort of the 'tail end' of the Mediterranean cruise season. Also, though I think it will be warm (around 70 degrees or so during the day is probably average), it won't be 'hot' or 'tropical' like some island honeymoons will be.
By the way, I think September is a great month to get married (not too hot, not too cold, etc.).
