Can anyone recommend places to go on my honeymoon? My wedding is on Sept. 16, 2006 and I don't want to have to worry about hurricane season in the Caribbean.
My only requirement is that I want to be able to relax in a warm climate so I can get a tan.
I thought about taking a two part honeymoon -- a relaxing one in a hot climate and maybe the second half in Spain (or maybe even a Mediterranean cruise).
Also, if you have any good hotel/cruise ship recommendations, please let me know. I want to at least know the best ones, so assume money is no object.

We went to Italy and took a Mediterranean cruise to the Greek Isles and Croatia - it was AMAZING and the weather was beautiful - we both came back very tan

We're actually going to St. Lucia. It's in the islands but we're not too worried about it. Sandals has a hurricane guarantee, so that's reassuring.

Costa Rica, they're not affected by the hurricanes. I live in FL so I don't want to chance going anywhere that even has a small possibility of getting a hurricane.

Aruba is beautiful and out of the Hurricane belt.......we are going to greece and italy....the weather is supposed to be nice

Hi Date Twin, Our TA told us that our bestoptions were as follows: Europe South Pacific Hawaii Aruba ...we opted for NONE OF THE ABOVE. We are going to the Secrets Excellence Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. There's a good chance it will rain some of the days...but we have been told by people that have been there that it may rain for 1/2 hour-hour and then stop. Considering we can't afford Europe/South Pacific/Hawaii...and we do not want to go to Aruba at all..we felt this was our best option. Its an all-inclusive with tons of stuff to do on the premisis if it rains---we are taking a chance and keeping our fingers crossed.

we are going to hawaii which is out of the hurricane loop (we will be leaving probably around 9/16 which was our original date but then last minute i just wanted 9/9 for some strange reason--just a feeling i had) but once i realized that two days later would mean we were flying on 9/11 i wasn't comfortable doing that-- so we are waiting a couple of days... around the 16th
other than that, there are great cruises to europe-- like greece, spain, italy, etc... all places that you can find good beaches at!!
we are doing a norweigan cruise so feel free to check out their website and see what they have for cruise plans-- also, check out royal carribean- VERY nice.

i can't blame you!!! that was my original date when we were planning on getting married in 06 but my sister got engaged and we decided to wait a year for her and then i just changed my mind till a little earlier in the month-- love that date though! sounds so nice when it is said!!
