September Honeymoons

I was just reading through the September bride thread and noticed that someone had said the hotel they wanted for their honeymoon (In Hawaii) was already booked!!! I thought I had plenty of time and haven't even looked into flights or hotels etc....where are most of you with these plans??

I am trying to remain calm with everything else I need to do until after the holidays (plus we just had an offer on a house accepted!). Thanks ladies!

Re: September Honeymoons

I have done nothing in terms of planning the honeymoon. We are throwing ideas around about where we want to go but we have not done any real planning. I guess I will have to get on top of that but it will def have to wait until after the holidays. Hopefully, there will be availablity whereever we choose to go. I thought as a September bride I had some time but I could be wrong.

Re: September Honeymoons

I read that thread too so I need to call my FI to get on it especially since we are thinking of going to HW too - it seems too early but they say Sept is the new June for weddings!

Re: September Honeymoons

We are pretty set on South Africa for a safari and the Seychelles for the beach...however, it depends on the state of world affairs. If not, we are also thinking of Tahiti and Bora Bora. I was hoping the airfares would come down after the new year.

Re: September Honeymoons

That was me-- it wasn't that it was totally booked but we were originall going to Kuaii, Waikiki and Maui in that order but now the Hyatt in Kuaii is having a convention there those days so now we are going to go to Maui first- not a big deal but I would have never thought that things get booked up so quickly.

Re: September Honeymoons

I actually just spoke with my travel agent. She is going to start pricing out my top 3 locations. My #1 choice is Belize. Then it's Cosat Rica and Aruba. I want to book early to have something to look forward to!!!

Re: September Honeymoons

Hi girls- okay I could breathe again. I am so compulsive that I called the Four Seasons in Maui and asked about availablity in Sept. Went through all the weeks and there is still tremendous availability in every category room. whew!!!! I asked about and the area is pretty available. Am I nuts?

Re: September Honeymoons

I did not mean to get anyone freaked out. IT was only the Hyatt Kuai around September 8 because they are having a convention. It is still very early and there is no reason to rush into booking a honeymoon- there is plenty of time.

Re: September Honeymoons

Don't worry about it... It actually got me off my butt which is good. You did a good thing by alerting some of us.... I would have been bummed if it was filled. Thanks
