SERIOUS guest issue...

We've been trying to get our guest list down and it's just not going to happen. Our families are HUGE (I have 14 older brothers, who are married, and nieces and nephews that are my age...) FH has 8 siblings.. Etc..

BCC can only fit 200 people. The food there is AWESOME.. But we just can't fit everyone he even lowred the price but I explained that it's not the $$$.. We just CAN'T fit everyone.... I'M SO DEPRESSED.. Hair's falling out..

SHOOT ME!

Are ALL siblings + their families actually coming? We have the same issue in that our family is over 50 people. 10 of them live on the west coast and aren't coming.

They will ALL be here.. Im actually marrying my oldest brothers Best friend.. So my whole family knows his family and so on.. This is a wedding they're not going to miss...

My heart isn't SET on the place... But the money was right, and the food.. AAAAAAaahhh...

We're going back to Windows this weekend to see what we can do.

The contract is signed but he said he would refund everything if we can canceled.

You need to formulate your guest list ASAP. You need to know what your head count would be before signing again if you do move it.

Exactly! You need to find a reception hall big enough for your guest list before signing anymore vendors. Sometimes reception halls have so many restrictions/rules that everything else can be figured out only after you have the hall.

We have 240 adults/20 children... So we're calculating about 200 adults.

remember---the max # of people in a room is the absolute MAX you can have--that is not the max # that fits COMFORTABLY there. if you put the max #--they could end up fitting in there like sardines.

You have a valid point, and that's why we're looking for places that fit 275-300 so that people can be comfy cozy.

BCC is a good place---but i'm just at the sheer idea of 200 ppl trying to fit in the CH area. I've been to 2 weddings there! but the food is pretty yum. so i can feel your dilmemna!

i hope windows on the lake can accomodate you!

Well we're going to Windows & Mediterranean Manor tomorrow. They can both hold up to 300 I believe and they are beautiful places.

I'd check out West Lake Inn in Patchogue. They can fit up to 500 people there and their prices weren't bad at all. Have also heard good things about their food. The guy there Steve is great and you really felt like he wanted to make your wedding amazing. Their package also comes with a lot of extras. We didn't go with them because we wanted to be married on the water and the Riverview Restaurant had everything we wanted. Doesn't hurt to check them out.

West Lake Inn is literally down the street from Med Manor. It's definitely worth a look. For me, their hall was a lot more visually pleasing than Med Manor, but again, that's just my personal taste.

you might want to check Larkfield Manor. I think the main room can hold about 300. The food is outrageously good and loads of it. - - some pics in my album. prices not too bad either.
