serious question about hems and bustles!!! help!!!
okay, so with the right wedding shoes...where does the hem of a wedding dress lay? is it all the way to the floor? or is it like .5 inch above the ground so you can see a little peek of the shoe?
also, for the bustle....when the dress is bustled, is the dress evenly to the ground all around?? or does the bustle a little bit longer???
im confused! and the more i think about it, i dont 100% trust the tailors....
tell me how yours looks/looked/is going to look? pictures would be awesome too!

I had a special situation so I asked for my hem to be just above the ground, and from what I remember when the dress was bustled it was even with the front.
I changed into sneakers when I got into the reception and then the dress dragged a little on the floor, but the hem was done with my shoes on which were 1.75 inch heels.

my hem in the front i think was a lil above the ground but you couldnt see my shoes when i walked because i had so many layers. when the back was bustled they left a little sweep that hit the floor originally but i had asked them to make it shorter because i didnt want to step on it when i danced and walked backwards.

ETA ok now that i look at the pic, it looks like my dress was to the floor. Oh and the back of my dress was assymetrical, thats why the bustle looks crooked like that

well, i would say 1/2 an inch to a little lower off the ground, i like the look of all the way to the ground but sometimes you trip over it so very very slightly above i think is good, basically so you cant see feet when standing straignt, and the tip of the toes when walking
the bustle from my understanding and on my dress will be slight longer in the back

look at my photo albums.
My hem was covering shoe/boot.
I coulda went longer but I am clumsy.
My second dress was longer and I put a hole in it lol
So glad it wasnt first.
ALso, you can see my bustle...

From what I remember at my fitting, the dress basically floats in the air.

Mine was to the floor, you weren't able to see my shoes in the front and when bustled the back was to the floor also

they are making mine to the floor and the bustle is even with the front I actually didnt even think about asking that. but even if I was asked, that is how I would want it: to the floor and all even
