I agree, it is still a public forum that anyone can look at, so we still need to be very careful what info we give out. There are lots of crazies in this world

so are you saying that an enemy or person who is evil, would see what vendor you hired on your day, call pretend to be 'me' and cancel!!!!

I wouldnt put that past some people WOW!

I mean, I'm the first to come on here and biitch about a co-worker or someone in my family but nothing I wouldn't say to their face if push came to shove.... But when it comes to REALLY personal things and just other things that can incriminate-- Trust me, it's better to just keep it private-- for your own sake!

A girlfriend of mine from here had some NUT see where she was getting married and CALL that hall to pretend they were her and try to cancel her wedding!!! Since then I tell people to either make their info unknown or put their vendors on alert for anything 'suspicious' and suggest that vendors contact them if anything out of the ordinary happens... But how sick is that?!

I myself had someone try and incriminate me- I can't say ANYTHING about what specifically happened but let me just be honest: it made me WISH I would run into the girl that stabbed me in the back so I could ring her neck-- but oh well, you live and learn and I learned a lot from the experience about WHO on HERE you can and can not trust... Yes ladies- even other brides on here can try and hurt you in some way!! So beware of that and always have your guard up-- something I did not do originally because I thought that the girls on here were ALL good and decent people.

I love it on here and so many girls are AWESOME! So overall my experience has been great and the good outweighs the few NUTS with nothing better to do than try to get others in trouble- so, at the end of the day I love it on here and it's so worth it but this was great for other brides to see just so they can be a little careful about things.

I am all for girls getting advice...even about very personal things on her...just protect yourselves. that is the basic message.

agreed!

i agree with jess, but don't get too paranoid and delete your vendors. any reputable vendor will not accept a cancellation over the phone. most ask that you come in and settle things.

as far as private matters, if you must post, speak in generalizations. don't get so specific b/c you never know who is reading this.
