Most of the halls that I have visited have a 18% service charge. I went to one today and didn't realize till I got home that they add a 20% charge. Is 18% or 20% standard ?
i thought 18 was normal...but i haven't seen many so i could be wrong
A lot of them have started raising it to 20%. I was told about this by several banquet managers. I was also told that their halls would also be raising it to 20% in the near future. I don't know if it was just a reason to get me to book now, but it's definitely something that's going to be transitioning in.

ive seen 15, 18 and 20% service charge, depends on the hall i guess
I have seen 18%, 15% but addition 500,550 extra has a house charge. They are really getting nasty!
