I was just reading over my contract and I noticed that it said that taxes were being applied after the service charge is applied to the total...
Is that normal? It's a few hundred extra... at this point what does it matter -cant change anything! but i was just curious how it worked for everyone else..
I think it depends on the RH. I dont remember if mine did or not, but it does add up to quite a bit extra. Sorry...hth

If it is a service charge there should be sales tax - if it is a tip it should not. It is all in how the contract is worded and the money is distributed

I was told that you get taxed on the service charge because the RH gets taxed on it.....i guess that seems fair...and what is a few extra hundred $$ right
