Severe back pain...medicine question... MORE ADDED

I pulled my back out yesterday. All I did was bend over to get the measuring tape out of DH's toolbox and that's all it took. It's really hurting me today. Also, I don't know what the heck I did at work yesterday, but my legs are KILLING me today. Is there anything I can take for the pain besides Tylenol?

ETA: Okay, I'm still going to call my OB on Monday, but to get me through the weekend....what about rubbing some sort of muscle cream on the outside to ease the pain? Or what about using a Bengay patch or something along those lines? Is anything like that okay?

Call your OB. He/she should see you.
I actually saw a chiropractor my entire pregnancy to keep my back pain to a min. and it worked great.

i threw my back out a few weeks agon my doc said tylenol and i used biofreeze (like bengay) and my doc said ok to that. i hope you feel better.

ICE the area...I know it is cold...but that will help reduce any swelling you can't see. Ice for 20 minutes, then off for an hour. See how you feel. Also, go get yourself some of the instant ice packs for your trip. You can use it on the plane.
