Does anyone own one and really like the one they own?
I'm looking into buying one, but don't really know much about them.
I did see a nice computerized one for $6,000! That's NOT going to happen, but a girl can dream

Re: Sewing machines?
I have my mom's old 1950's Singer. I had it serviced and decided to price others to see if it would be cheaper than repair/service it (which was $130 ) New ones range from $100 and up depending on features. The woman who repaired mine said that I should just repair and keep mine since most machienes are now made of plastic- yep- mine's an old metal one! She said the cheaper plastic models break VERY easy.
I'm not much of a sewer but figured I'd try. I would LOVE a computerized one if I could afford it!
