Why are you getting so defensive? I mean you made a generalized statement -- you had to realize that maybe people wouldn't appreciate being lumped into a 'recipe for disaster' category, for not bumping uglies on their wedding night.

Love can be expressed in MANY MANY ways other than having sex. I plan on showing my fh how much I love him all day long on our wedding day as I do every day.

Agreed Ang... We showed soooo much love at the actually wedding and throughout the whole day that there was actually less love in our lovemaking that night Just was too freakin exhausted... For all you brides to be, you prob hear this all the time, but once you actually go through that day, you realize how tiring it is... I took some pics after the reception and I seriously had massive bags under my eyes and couldnt keep them open and it was only 5pm!!!!! How we managed to get some lovin in by midnight is a great feat

I just have to say....

I don't think ANY soon-to-be-married couple goes into their wedding day saying 'we will NOT have sex tonight'. I'm going to say that 100% of brides and grooms wanna knock the boots.

HOWEVER, circumstances during the day affect your wedding night... grooms get wasted, brides are exhausted, it's late, etc. I think it depends on the couple... My DH and I are ALWAYS exhausted after a night out... we talk a lot of sexy time the whole ride home, but the minute the front door opens, we are both out cold. I thought for SURE that we would be too tired on our wedding night, but there is just something running through your veins that day -- it was enough to make us stay awake, lol. But i would NEVER say that not having sex on your wedding night is a recipe for disaster. that is such a general statement and i think you were a bit indulgent in posting it.

How do you think girls who didn't have sex on their wedding night feel right now?

i agree that the post about not having sex on the wedding night is a recipe for disaster was not a great statement...but everyone has said their peace so be done with it. Why is everyone attacking this girl? I think she realizes it may not have been the best thing to say so we should just all move on

I am going to have sex on my wedding day utterly exhausted or not. I want every aspect of the day to be enjoyable. I'm not saying it would be horrible if you don't i'm just saying he listened to you while you bombarded him with limos, florists, djs etc. The least you could do is stay up for an extra hour or two and do some work.

By the time the wedding comes up, I will have listened to FH go on about tuxes, limos, must play lists, after parties, HM planning, guest lists, etc., for 14 months. He'd better stay 'up' and do some work and make it good! AND HE BETTER MAKE IT ENJOYABLE FOR ME!!! Once I'm done, I'll just roll over and go to sleep and he can take care of himself too.

nahhh----not at all. if anything this entire thing has me laughing.

i find it hilarious that someone who is NOT married yet and who has not had their wedding feels like they know that not knocking da boots on your wedding night is an ultimate recipe for disaster in life.

as well as those who have the whole 'you should just DO it cause its your job....close your eyes and think of England' mentality that seems so archaic and old fashioned.

As someone who has been married for nearly 3 years now, I take pride in knowing I have a great marriage, wonderful communication, and an amazing DH who loves me.....and *gasp* we didn't have sex that night. Oh well!

Either way I hope everyone has wonderful weddings and gets to experience the most awesome natural high that you get, on the greatest day of your life! Sex or not sex!

I know right? and i started it lol I should have known better. FH and I have lived together for years now and we go through phases with sex. i mean sometimes its everyday and sometimes we can go a week or more without sex, but we're not complaining. We hope to have a sexy time after the wedding but if it doesnt happen till the next morning then it doesnt happen no biggie. we have a 2 week honeymoon to get freaky as much as we want! :)


but for now im just enjoying todays forum drama
