OK, color me stupid here.....but what is eyebrow threading????
I pluck my own eyebrows but I think I need to ge them trimmed or something because they are so long!!! i could probably braid them!
It's gross!! I try to keep them loking normal but I would like some professional to take charge! WHta time are they open until?

Re: Shamma-
Threading as an Indian custom. They take 2 pieces of string and pass the along your eyebrows pulling the hair from the root as they shape them. It is very inexpensive and it lasts very long. They have a salon in Hicksville that does it. My siater goes there. Hope that clarifies it a bit

Hee-hee, I honestly had no idea! Where in Hicksville? I'm in Bethpage every weekend, I live in Manhattan so i could do either Manhattan or Hicksville.

Re: Shamma-
I would like to try it too - is there any pain involved?

Re: Shamma-
It is not too painful. Sometime it is a little more annoying because it is not like one swipe and it is off like waxing. Sometimes they have to thread over the area a couple of times. But really is not too bad. I only get my eyebrows done. Some people get upper lips done but I would think that would be way too painful!

Re: Shamma-
At shapes they only charge $5. I have never had anyone else do mine. The wait can be bad, but I have only had good luck, so no major wait for me

Re: Shamma-
thanks..$5 is a bargain! maybe I will try my luck today - a friday after work can't be good - but what the heck! Maybe the rain will keep people away.

Re: Shamma-
shamma- I am gonna try to go today, work and weather permitting. I have always wanted to try threading because my mom gets it done all the time. I am going to leave work at 5:30 so I should be there aroung 6-ish...I will look for you! I have seen your prfile picture and all your wedding pics so I bet I can pick you out if you are there!I am wearing a purple sweater and khakis and have my hair in a ponytail (left my hair curly b/c of the rain). I also have a picture posted in my profile!
