Re: Share your cheesecake recipes here

Mmm... Jenn, I just made a chocolate cheesecake because I had some people over for dinner the other night. It was gooooooood. DH said it was the best cheesecake he ever had.

Here is the recipe I used. Only I didn't put Oreo into the mix, I just used it for the crust. I did everything else as directed:

Re: Share your cheesecake recipes here

I have a favorite easy no bake cheater's cheesecake recipe that I have been making for about 20 years. I get requests for it at every family event. My son even requested this instead of a birthday cake!!! It's fast and easy!

1 8oz package cream cheese,softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup (1/2 pint) sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 8oz container of whipped topping (Cool Whip is best), thawed
1 Ready-Crust graham cracker crust
Fresh strawberried for garnish

In a bowl beat cream cheese til smooth; gradually beat in sugar. Blend in sour cream and vanilla. Fold in whipped topping, blending well. Spoon into crust. Chill for at least 4 hours. Garnish with fresh strawberries (if you want...it tastes great without them).

JENG...

Re: Share your cheesecake recipes here

Kate,

It's 4 Tablespoons of flour.

And a couple of tips.......

If your spring pan is dark the cooking time and temp will vary (lower temp, and bake longer). I couldn't get the right combo, so I bought a lighter pan instead.
Also, do not over mix. Over mixing will introduce too much air, and the cake will overflow the pan. I bake it at night, and leave it in the oven to cool overnight.

You can also add a graham cracker crust recipe if you like......

Good luck! Let me know how it comes out!
